Nobel Laureate Amartya Sen was a faculty member of the school, and taught here for over eight years The faculty members and alumni have significant achievements. The Department of Commerce started a one-year full-time Post-graduate Diploma in International Marketing (PGDIM) in the year 1985-86. Indian Students Passed Bachelor�s Degree examination of the University of Delhi or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto in any discipline, with minimum 50% marks. . It is here that the students are provided with opportunities for academic excellence and cultural enrichment to enable them to build a multi-faceted personality and face the challenges that lie ahead. Bachelor of Business Economics courses are pretty much in demand these days as its market value is continuously rising. The department has been associated with three important journals over the years. It publishes the Indian Economic Review, several faculty members edit the Indian Economic and Social History Review, and for many years it housed the Journal of Quantitative Economics.
